Carver Center Veteran Residential Program

Avalon management was awarded a contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2005 to provide residential Halfway House and treatment support for up to 25 male and female Veterans in Oklahoma City. The Carver Veteran Affairs Program provides complete residential services to non-criminal, homeless Veterans referred by the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Carver provides daily transportation to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center for day programs and medical appointments. Services also include three meals and nutritious snacks per day approved by a Licensed Dietician, activities, field trips, housekeeping, and linen service. The program also provides a level of therapeutic and rehabilitative mental health services designed to promote a more adaptive level of psychosocial functioning and supportive personal care. Carver also provides individual adjustment services including social, recreational and spiritual opportunities. Motivation and education of the residents is achieved and maintained through independence in the activities of daily living and self-care.
